How to remove UnTabs

How to remove UnTabs

This article is dedicated to help you to get rid of adware. Luckily, UnTabs isn’t a real threat to your PC, and to the information, stored on it. It can’t harm your OS directly, so officially, the programs like UnTabs are called PUP, or Potentially Unwanted Software. This means that we all know they’re not good, but the antiviral programs can’t understand it, and keep missing it during the system scan. UnTabs isn’t a virus, and it doesn’t harm your PC, then why should it be removed? Maybe it will provide the incredible features and increase the quality of web-browsing? Let’s think it out. We said that UnTabs doesn’t harm your PC, because it has no task to do it. But also it has no task to protect your system, so its actions have the long lasting effects, like the clogging of computer by malware, adware and fake programs. This is the most dangerous feature of UnTabs, because if the computer is filled up with unwanted programs, it’s very difficult to remove them. System is lagging, the manual deletion becomes almost impossible, and the only decent way is to purchase the reputable anti-virus.

Firstly, you should delete UnTabs from Control Panel

Here’s an instruction for Windows 10. It’s the latest version of Windows OS, and it is already used by most of the users. So, you should delete all suspicious programs. Actually, all reliable programs have proper information in all fields. So, if the fields “name” and “developer” are blank, or contain pointless symbols – the program is possibly malicious. When you find the suspicious program in CP – don’t hurry. Firstly, open the Task Manager and search for the process with the same name, and open the file location of the process. There you could see, will the folder be removed or not.

1.   On the field Search Windows type 'Control Panel'

2. Click Uninstall a program

3. Select Caster and press Uninstall.

Repeat all these operations for any suspicious software that you’ll find in Control Panel

The second step is to remove UnTabs from your browser

Last time we did the removal guide for Google Chrome, so now, I think, we will do it for Mozilla Firefox.

1.   Launch Google Chrome browser, click Menu (Customize and Control Google Chrome)

2.    Select More tools > Extensions. Left-click on Extensions.

3.   On the UnTabs, click Remove from Chrome

4.   A notice to remove the extension will appear. Click Remove.

If you have completed all steps, UnTabs must be already removed. If you failed to remove it with help of my guide – then maybe you have some difficult case of PC infection, which must be considered closely.  Please feel free to visit my main website, and read the full article about how to remove UnTabs and post the comments about your issue.
